(405) 873-7369Why Yukon calls us first
Sitting just west of OKC on I-40, Yukon takes the same Canadian County hail corridor that hammers the metro — sometimes harder, with fewer roofers ready on the ground. Free inspection. Within 24 hours.
§ 01 · Why Yukon
West of the metro — still inside the storm lane.
Yukon sits where I-40 leaves Oklahoma County and crosses into Canadian County — exactly the latitude where supercells rotating off the western plains tend to drop their hail before they tighten up over OKC proper. NWS records show Doppler-detected hail near Yukon on 153 separate occasions, with trained spotters confirming 55 on-the-ground events. When the May 24, 2025 storm rolled through, it struck an estimated 151,531 Oklahoma homes in a single afternoon — and Canadian County was in the path. Yukon is a fast-growing suburb: population has climbed over 20% since 2020, meaning newer subdivisions on the far west end are still getting their first hail hit on a roof that's barely two years old.
The other Yukon reality is the wind. With fewer tree lines and open Canadian County exposure on the west-wind side, gusts that arrive from the Texas panhandle lose little before they reach your ridge cap. Oklahoma's 130 mph wind-rating minimum on new installs (IRC 2018) was written for exactly this terrain. Every roof we put down in 73036 and 73099 is spec'd and registered for that load — and documented for your carrier to argue against any partial-claim lowball.
